Data Drawer

The Data Drawer allows admins to retrieve data from previous actions (triggers) or nodes and use it in the current node. You can pull data from the trigger, which will provide all outputs associated with that trigger.

The Data Drawer includes:

  • Nodes (From field)
Specifies the source of the data.
  • Output field
Specifies the specific data point you want to retrieve.

Use the Data Drawer for Conditional Nodes

To configure the First Value or Second Value fields in the Criterion Specifications block using the Data Drawer, follow these steps:

1. Click on the Conditional Node.
2. Click on the First Value or Second Value field.
This shows the Data Drawer section.
3. Click on the Data Drawer section.
4. Select an option from the dropdown menu to use as the first or second value in your condition.
5. Use the search bar in the dropdown menu to select the Output value.
The selected option will automatically appear in the Criterion Specifications block.

Additionally, you can add values to the fields using the InsertDatapoin button .

Data Drawer: Forms

The Data Drawer offers two "From" options: Node From and Trigger From.

  • From: Node

When you select an existing node from the table in the From field, make sure to test the node before accessing its output.

  • From: Trigger

When you select an existing trigger in the From field, choose the field(s) in Outputs to set as the First Value or Second Value in the Criterion Specifications.

When you select an existing trigger with Filevine as the app, the Output will display fields based on the configured Project Type and Section in the trigger.

For example: When the selected trigger is configured as follows:

  • App: Filevine
  • Project Type: AJFV -Immigration (10/01)
  • Section: Case Overview

The fields that appear in Outputs within the Data Drawer depend on the existing fields in the selected Section (Case Overview) within Filevine projects. This data is filtered based on the selected Project Type, in this case, AJFV - Immigration (10/01).

In summary, the data visible in Outputs reflects the available fields in the specific Section (Case Overview) of the selected project type in Filevine.
