Neodeluxe Fact Link: Manage Document Types and Subtypes

Admins (Fact Link Admin), and Package Creators (Fact Link Creator).

Users can easily create Document Types to classify documents. They can also create Document Subtypes within a document type for more specific classification.

Create Document Types

Create a Document Type by following these steps:

  1. Navigate to Admin > Fact Link Setup > Document Types.
  2. In the Document Types List, click the + Create Document Type button.
  3. Enter the Document Type Name *, the Description, and click Create

You can now assign the created document type to any document in the Package Content list.

Edit Document Types

To modify an existing document type:

  1. In the Document Types List, locate the document type to be edited, and click the Edit icon .
  2. Edit the Document Type Name *, the Description, or both, and click Update.

Delete Document Types

To permanently delete an existing document type: 

  1. In the Document Type List, locate the document type to be deleted, and click the Delete icon .
  2. Complete the action by clicking Confirm in the pop-up.

The deleted document type (and subtypes) will also be removed from the Document Type dropdown in the Package Content list, and from any documents it was assigned to.

Create Document Subtypes

To create Document Subtypes within a document type for more specific classification, follow the steps:

  1. In the Document Type List, locate the document type where you want to add the subtypes, and click its name.
  2. In the Document Subtypes List, click the + Create Document Subtype button.
  3. Enter the Document Subtype Name *, the Description, and click Create

You can assign the created Document Subtype to any document (that has the associated Document Type) in the Package Content list.

Edit Document Subtypes

To modify an existing document subtype:

  1. In the Document Type List, locate the document type where the subtype to edit is located, and click its name.
  2. In the Document Subtypes List, locate the subtype to be edited, and click the Edit icon .
  3. Edit the Document Subtype Name *, the Description, or both, and click Update.

Delete Document Subtypes

To permanently delete an existing document subtype: 

  1. In the Document Type List, locate the document type where the subtype to delete is located, and click its name.
  2. In the Document Subtype List, locate the subtype to be deleted, and click the Delete icon .
  3. Complete the action by clicking Confirm in the pop-up.

The deleted document subtype will also be removed from the Document Subtype dropdown in the Package Content list, and from any documents it was assigned to.
