Package List 

In the Fact Link page, you can view the Package List interface with the following details:

 

 
Element   Description
  1. Folders
 

This panel allows users to browse packages grouped in the following ways:

  • A to Z: Displays packages whose names start with the selected letter.
  • All Packages: Displays all existing packages.
  • Others: Displays packages whose names start with special characters. 

Select a folder to expand the corresponding packages and display them in the Package List. Click a package to access its interface.

The Folders panel can be expanded or collapsed and is visible in both the Packages List view and within a package.

  1. Package List
  Displays a list of existing packages with key information and options to filter, create, and manage packages.
  1. + Create Package
  This button allows users to create a new package.
  1. Show Inactive Package
  Checkbox to display/hide Inactive packages.
  1. Search
  This field allows users to enter text to filter the packages based on the entered criteria.

 

The Package List includes the following columns: 

Column   Description
  1. Status
  Indicates whether the package is Active or Inactive
  1. Name 
  Internal reference name for the package. Clicking the package name will open it.
  1. Description 
  Brief internal reference description.
  1. Created By
  Users name that created the package.
  1. Source
 

Indicates the origin of the package:

Fact Link: If the package does not have an External Type and an External ID related.

Filevine: If the package does have an External Type and External ID.

  1. External Type 
 

Specifies the type of external project linked to the package.

When the package does have an External Type (Project), the External ID displays the corresponding external type (Project). 

It’s empty when the package does not have an External Type and an External ID.

  1. External ID 
  Displays the unique identifier of the associated external project. (e.g., If connected to Filevine, displays the Filevine Project ID.)
  1. Project Type
  Specifies the package Project Type associated with the external ID.
  1. Created At
  Displays the time and date the package was created.
  1. Last Modified Date 
  Displays the last time and date the package was modified.
  1. Actions 
   
Edit  Allows users to modify the package
Delete  Allows users to delete the package

Package Interface

In the package view, users can view the following tabs: Package Content and Fact Index.

    Package Content Tab

    In the Package Content tab, users can manage the documents within that package. This tab contains the following elements:

    Element Description
    1. Package Name Specifies the name of the package.
    2. Edit Package This icon allows you to edit the Package Name*, Description, External Type, External ID, and Privacy Settings.
    3. Private Package

    Specifies that the package is private. 

    NOTE: This element is not displayed when the package is not private.

    4. Case Type

    Specifies the package project type associated with its external ID. 

    NOTE: The Case Type is not displayed when the external ID is missing or invalid.

    5. Import Documents This option in the icon allows you to import PDF files from a Filevine project by using the provided Project ID. If no valid Project ID is specified, the option is disabled.
    6. Export PDF This option in the icon allows you to export the PDF files (and their facts) in the package. If there are no files in the package, the option is disabled.
    7. Export Facts This option in the icon allows you to export a CSV report of facts from the selected documents. You can customize which columns to include. If there are no files in the package, the option is disabled.
    8. Document Uploader This section contains the options for uploading documents. Collapsed by default.
    9. Drop Or Upload your documents here Add PDF files to the package via drag-and-drop or manual upload.
    10. Documents Uploading Queue Displays the names, sizes, and upload statuses of documents being uploaded.
    11. Refetch Documents Refresh the list of documents in the package.
    12. Search This field allows users to enter text to filter facts based on the entered criteria.

     

    Package Documents Table

    This table lists all documents in the package with metadata and actions, organized by the following columns:

    Column   Description
    13. Name   

    Document’s name.

    If the document is completely uploaded, the icon appears.

     If still uploading, a yellow icon appears with the message: This document is still being processed. Please try again in a few minutes.

    14. Source   Indicates if the document was Uploaded or imported from Filevine.
    15. Uploaded by   Name of the user who uploaded the document.
    16. Document Type   Assign or edit one or more Document Types.
    17. Document Subtype   Assign or edit one or more Document Subtypes.
    18. Document Date   Assign or edit the relevant document date.
    19. Uploaded Date   Date the document was uploaded.
    20.  Actions    Displays the available actions that can be applied to the document:
    Delete  Permanently delete the document.
    • Filters: Users can filter the table by clicking the ellipsis icon while hovering over each column’s name in the header
    • Document Type and Document Subtype allow users to sort facts and group facts.
    • If no documents are present, No document added yet appears in place of the table.

    Fact Index Tab

    In the Fact Index tab, users can view the complete list of facts contained in the documents within the package. They can filter facts by document, manage fact details such as the document, date, and tags, and access each fact in a streamlined way. This tab includes the following elements:

    Element Description
    1. By Document Select or deselect documents to filter which facts appear in the table. All documents are selected by default.
    2. Columns Show or hide columns in the Fact Index table.
    3. Filters Apply filters based on a selected column, operator, and value to narrow the results.
    4. Density Adjust the row spacing: Compact, Standard or Comfortable.
    5. Export Export the Fact Index table as a CVS, Excel or Print.
    6. Search Search by Document Name, Fact Content, and Created By columns.

    Fact Index Table

    This table presents a list of facts from the selected documents, along with the corresponding document information, organized in the following columns:

    Column   Description
    7. Document Name    Name of the document containing the fact. To open the selected fact in the document, click the icon.
    8. Document Type   Assigned Document Type(s). Blank if none are assigned.
    9. Document Subtype   Assigned Document Subtype(s). Blank if none are assigned.
    10. Document Date   Document's assigned date. Blank if not specified.
    11. Fact Content   Preview of the fact. To display the full content, click the icon.
    12. Fact Date   Fact’s assigned date. Blank if not specified.
    13. Tags   Add or edit one or more tags assigned to the fact.
    14. Page   Page number where the fact is located.
    15. Created By   Name of the user who created the fact.
    16. Created At   Timestamp of when the fact was created.
