Who can use this feature?
Neodeluxe users with an ATM Admin or ATM Manager role.
For more information about roles please visit: Advanced Task Management Roles and Permissions.
- Before starting the Bulk Task process for a batch between 15,000 and 20,000 records, you must notify our team that the script needs to be hydrated, indicating the responsible user(s) who will execute the process.
Only upload batches between 15,000–20,000 records during business hours (8:00 AM – 6:00 PM).
For batches over 20,000 records, uploads must be performed after business hours.
For each executed row, a note is added to the project's Activity Feed in Filevine. This may impact the events received in the database.
Follow these steps to create tasks in bulk
Here's an interactive tutorial
- Go to the Task Management menu, select Tasks, and then select the Bulk Task Creation tab.
Click Upload CSV.
Select the Queue*, where the task that will be generated in bulk was configured.
The listed queues in the Select Queue* dropdown are those ATM queues with Live status. They were configured with a Queue Trigger set to either Criteria or Manual.
Click
BulkTaskCreationTemplate.Csv
to download the template structure that must be followed for building the CSV file, which should be uploaded for the bulk-task creation.
Build the CSV file by including only the Filevine project’s data for which you intend to create tasks in bulk.
Make sure to carefully follow the instructions for building the CSV file, as outlined in How to Build the Bulk Task Creation CSV File, following the exact structure of the downloaded BulkTaskCreationTemplate.Csv template.
The downloaded CSV template is designed specifically for the selected queue and its associated Section Type. Remember that ATM queue tasks are linked to a specific Section Type in Filevine: either a Collection Section, a Static Section (also called a Form Section), or the Project itself.
For more information on the Queue’s Section Type configuration, please read Queue Trigger section.
For more information on Filevine sections, please read Static and Collection Sections.
Click Select Archive and choose the CSV file that contains the Filevine project’s data for which you intend to create tasks in bulk.
Click Upload CSV
to initiate the task creation process, which will be marked as 🟡 In Progress.
After clicking Upload CSV, a processing modal appears. Closing this modal does not cancel the bulk task creation.
If the uploaded file doesn't follow the required structure, this message will be displayed: The uploaded file does not match the system-provided template.
One Batch at a Time: While the task creation process is In Progress, the Upload CSV button is disabled for all users.
Estimated processing times based on the number of rows in the CSV file are as follows:
Duplicate or incomplete rows in the uploaded CSV file are excluded and not processed. These are not considered errors and are not listed in the failure CSV file.
The number of rows in the CSV file must not exceed 20,000 to ensure proper processing.
If you need to generate tasks for more than 20,000 projects, split them into separate CSV files and process them individually.
Click the refresh button to display the number of Tasks Uploaded during the current operation. While the operation is running, the status shown is 🟡 In Progress. Once the processing is complete, the status is updated based on the results.
Click the entry Status to visualize the details of the operation result.
According to the status, a pop-up window is displayed with the operation results:
|
🟢 Completed: Tasks were successfully created for ALL projects in the CSV file. The window displays the following information:
|

🟠 Partially Completed: Tasks were created for SOME of the projects, but some rows couldn’t be processed due to errors in the data. The window displays the following information:
