The Task Management Side Panel provides a clear, focused way for users to review, manage, and complete tasks.
When a user opens a task, a side panel expands to display all task details and available actions in one place. This panel acts as the task resolution central workspace, allowing users to understand what needs to be done and take action immediately.
Key Benefits
- Complete Task Visibility: The Task Management Side Panel displays all essential information in a single, clear view: Status shows the current progress of the task, Workflow indicates the workflow where the task was generated, and Assignee identifies who is responsible for completion. The task Type clarifies the nature of the task (such as Communication or Review), while Due Date and Priority highlight deadlines and urgency.
- Action Ready Controls: The task Instructions provide guidance on what must be verified or completed, Snoozed allows the task to be temporarily snoozed and the Time Tracker enables tracking of time spent.
- Task Resolution: The Resolve button allows the user to complete and close the task once all requirements are met.
- Persistent Context: The panel remains open while navigating other workspaces in Neostella. It can be minimized or maximized at any time, preventing loss of context or progress.

Task Management Panel Interface
The Task Management Panel allows users to manage the task without leaving the task list. It opens as a slide-in panel when the user clicks a task in the PERSONAL, AVAILABLE, or ALL dashboards. This view is designed for quick actions and efficient management while staying on the same page. The Task Management Side Panel has DETAILS, DOCUMENTS, CONVERSATION and ACTIVITY tabs.
DETAILS
From this tab, users can:
- View task details and metadata (Status, Workflow, Assignee, Type, Due Date, Priority)
- Use the time tracker.
- Review task instructions.
- Resolve the task.
DOCUMENTS
From this tab, users can:
- Upload files that will be associated with the current task.
MESSAGES
From this tab, users can:
- Send new messages related to the task.
- Mention users using @username.
- Reply to messages.
- Format text (bold, italic, strikethrough, links, lists).
- View the complete message history with sender names and timestamps.
ACTIVITY
From this tab, users can:
- View all the feed items related to the current task.
