To create a new Permission Set, follow these steps:
1. Open the Permission Sets tool.
2. Click the + NEW PERMISSION SET button.
The Permission Set Editor opens.
3. Enter a Name for the Permission Set.
4. Enter a Description to summarize its governance purpose (optional).
5. Click Assign Tags and select the applicable tags (optional).
6. Click the PROJECTS tab.
Set the permission levels for each object, including: View, Edit, Delete, Create, and Conditional.
7. Click the SYSTEM tab.
Configure permission levels for system objects and platform tools.
8. Click the CUSTOM PERMISSIONS tab.
- Create new custom permissions if required.
- Define View and Edit access levels for governed fields.
9. Click the ASSIGNEES tab.
Assign users and/or groups who will inherit this Permission Set.
10. Click CREATE to save the configuration.
Once created and assigned, the permission structure becomes active and governs access based on the levels configured.
