The Users tool is the centralized environment where administrators manage all user/contact identities within Neostella. Every user/contact in Neostella is modeled as a system entity with a unique user ID, ensuring consistent identification across tools, permissions, and integrations.
access users workspace
Accessing the Users workspace is straightforward:
1. Log in to Neostella.
2. Open the Control Center.
3. Click on Access.
4. Select Users.
Once opened, the workspace presents a dashboard that serves as the starting point for managing people and integrations across Neostella.
user dashboard
The User dashboard is designed to support user discovery, creation, and management from a single view. From here, admins can navigate between people and integration users, and access detailed configuration views. The dashboard includes:
| 1. Users tool 2. PEOPLE tab 3. INTEGRATION USER tab |
people tab
The PEOPLE tab is the foundation of user and contact management.
The PEOPLE tab contains all users who are created as contacts within Neostella. Each row represents a person and stores their general information, while also serving as a direct entry point to the people editor, where deeper details can be reviewed. Key information admins can find here includes:
| Section | Fields / Details |
| User Information | First Name, Middle Name, Last Name, System Email, User ID |
| Contact Information | Primary Mobile Phone, Primary Personal Email, Physical Address |
| Groups | User group memberships |
| User Activity | Activity history and actions performed by the user |
The PEOPLE tab acts as a central source of truth for contacts across the platform. This data is consumed by and connected to multiple tools, including: Groups, Permission Sets, Objects, Documents, or Finance.
All people listed here are both users and contacts, making this tab the core user database for Neostella.
integration users tab
The INTEGRATION USERS tab represents machine-to-machine identities. These users are not people, but applications or systems that integrate with Neostella and require authenticated access.
Each integration User provides an identity that allows an external system to interact with Neostella in a controlled and permission-based way. For example, tools such as Automations interact with users through INTEGRATION USERS. There are two types of integration users:
| Integration User Type | Characteristics |
| System Integration Users | Created and managed by the platform; not visible or editable by admins; always active; cannot be modified, deactivated, or deleted; operate entirely in the background. |
| Custom Integration Users | Visible in the Integration users table; created and managed by admins; allow permissions and scopes to be assigned; can be activated, deactivated, or reactivated as needed. |
