Neodeluxe Theme Customization

Neodeluxe Theme Customization lets admins personalize the color palette of the client portal to match their firm’s branding, ensuring a consistent experience for all users. Keep in mind that applying a color theme updates everyone's look using Neodeluxe across the client portal.

How to Access Theme Customization

To access the Neodeluxe Theme Customization:

1. Log in to Neodeluxe and go to the Admin menu.
2. Click Neodeluxe Portal and then click Theme Customization.

Theme Customization Dashboard 

The Theme Customization dashboard enables admins to modify the client portal's appearance for all users by adjusting color palettes, background colors, and project settings. The dashboard includes:

1. Predefined color palettes
2. Created color palettes
3. Background Color
4. Main Primary Color
5. Secondary Color
6. Day mode
7. Dark mode
8. Hex Code field
9. Save editions on Color Palette button
10 Save as new Color Palette button
11. Publish and Preview buttons

Apply a Predefined Color Palette

Predefined color palettes are pre-set color combinations that can be applied directly to the client portal. 

1. Select a color palette in Predefined color palettes.
2. Click Publish to apply the theme and click Publish again in the pop-up message.

Publish a New Color Palette

To create a custom color palette for the first time, follow these steps:

1. Click the Create new Custom Theme button.
2. Click on the day mode button and select:

  • Background Color.
  • Main Primary Color
  • Secondary Color.

3. Click on the dark mode button and select:

  • Background Color.
  • Main Primary Color
  • Secondary Color.

4. Click on the Save as new Color Palette button.
5. (Optional) Click Preview to see how the theme will look.
6. Click Publish to apply the theme and click Publish again in the pop-up message.

You can also publish a new color palette by modifying an existing predefined one:

1. Select a color palette from the Predefined color palettes.
2. Select the Background Color, Main Primary Color, or Secondary Color.
3. Click Save as New Color Palette.
4. (Optional) Click Preview to see how the theme will look.
5. Click Publish to apply the theme and click Publish again in the pop-up message.

 

Palettes are created and saved when you click the Save as New Color Palette button. They don’t need to be published, they can be saved without publishing.
Admins can create up to five custom color palettes.

Manage Color Picker

Admins can update the portal’s appearance to align with the brand by customizing three key color settings:

  • Background Color – Sets the overall backdrop of your portal.
  • Main Primary Color – Controls the look of buttons and icons.
  • Secondary Color – Affects text and field element colors.

Each color can be adjusted using the color picker, which includes:

1. Color Gradient Panel – Adjust the brightness and saturation of the selected hue by dragging the circle to fine-tune the shade.
2. Hue Slider – Shift the base color by moving across the color spectrum.
3. Hex Code Field – Manually input a hex color code (for example: #673ab7) for precise control.

To update any of these:

1. Select a predefined or custom color palette.
2. Use one of the following to make adjustments in the Background Color, Main Primary Color, or Secondary Color:

  • Color Gradient Panel – drag to adjust saturation.
  • Hue Slider – pick a different hue.
  • Hex Code Field – enter a specific hex code.

3. Click Save as new Color Palette.
4. Click Publish to apply the theme and click Publish again in the pop-up message.

White elements in the UI will remain unchanged.

Set Day and Dark Mode Themes

It is mandatory to set the colors for both day and dark mode before publishing a new color palette. 

1. Click on the day mode button and select:

  • Background Color.
  • Main Primary Color
  • Secondary Color.

2. Click on the dark mode button and select:

  • Background Color.
  • Main Primary Color
  • Secondary Color.

3. Click on the Save as new Color Palette button.
4. (Optional) Click Preview to see how the themes will look.
5. Click Publish to apply the theme and click Publish again in the pop-up message.

Save a New Color Palette

Admins can save new color palettes using the Save as new Color Palette button. Follow these instructions:

1. Click the Create new Custom Theme button.
2. Click on the day mode button and select:

  • Background Color.
  • Main Primary Color
  • Secondary Color.

3. Click on the dark mode button and select:

  • Background Color.
  • Main Primary Color
  • Secondary Color.

4. Click on the Save as new Color Palette button.
The new palette will appear in the Created color palettes section.

 

Save Editions as a New Color Palette

Admins can save new editions of color in palettes using the Save as new Color Palette button. Follow these instructions:

1. Click on a predefined color palette.
2. (Optional) Click on the day mode button and select:

  • Background Color.
  • Main Primary Color
  • Secondary Color.

3. (Optional) Click on the dark mode button and select:

  • Background Color.
  • Main Primary Color
  • Secondary Color.

4. Click on the Save as new Color Palette button.
The new palette will appear in the Created color palettes section.

Reset to Default Colors

To restore the default portal color settings, check these steps:

1. Ensure a color palette is currently published.
2. Click Reset to Default.
3. Click Confirm.
The page will be automatically reset and cleaned.

Preview a Color Palette

The Preview function temporarily applies a color palette to your portal without saving any changes.

1. Click Preview to see how your portal will look while creating or editing a predefined color palette.

 

To revert, refresh the page or reset to default settings.

Delete a Created Color Palette

To delete a custom palette, follow these steps:

1. In the Created color palettes section, click the delete icon .
2. Click Confirm in the pop-up message.

 

If the admin tries to delete a color palette that’s currently published, they’ll see a warning:  "This theme is currently live. Deleting it will switch the app back to the default theme for everyone in your organization. Do you want to continue?"
