The ACTIVITY CODES tab within the Invoicing page allows users to configure unique activity codes that can be associated with task types.

These codes help standardize how work is classified, aligning platform activities with legal or accounting standards for billing and reporting purposes.

Activity codes are not visible to users when registering time entries.

how to create an activity code

To create an activity code in Neostella, follow these steps: 

  1. In the Invoicing interface, on the ACTIVITY CODE  tab, click + ACTIVITY CODE.
  2. Enter the Name*, the Code* and Description. 
  3. Click SAVE. The Activity code registered message is displayed.
If the entered Code* has already been created (case-sensitive), the register is not successful and the Activity code already exists message is displayed.
Once created, activity codes can be associated with task types in the TASK TYPES tab.

how to edit an activity code

To edit an activity code  in Neostella, follow these steps: 

  1. In the Invoicing interface, on the ACTIVITY CODE  tab, locate in the list the activity code to edit and click its name.
  2. Change the Name*, the Code* and/or  Description as required. 
  3. Click SAVE. The Activity code updated message is displayed.
If the entered Code* has already been created (case-sensitive), the modification is not successful and the Activity code already exists message is displayed.

how to delete an activity code

To delete an activity code in Neostella, follow these steps: 

  1. In the Invoicing interface, in the ACTIVITY CODE  tab, locate in the list the activity code to delete and click its name.
  2. Click DELETE. The Delete the Activity Code? modal window is displayed.
  3. Click YES, DELETE ACTIVITY CODE.The Activity code deleted message is displayed and the record is removed from the list.
This Activity Code will be permanently deleted from the platform and removed from the Task Types that had it assigned. This action cannot be undone.
