The Preview tab allows admins to view and test a form exactly as an end user would experience it. It presents a functional preview of the form built in the Designer tab, showing how fields, layout, and interactions behave before the form is published or shared.
This preview is interactive and responds to the form’s configuration. Fields can be filled out, selections can be changed, and behaviors can be tested without affecting the actual form setup or stored data. Any logic defined in the Logic tab is also applied in real time, making the Preview tab a safe environment to validate conditional behavior and field interactions.
The Preview tab is strictly representational. It does not save submissions or alter form configuration. Its purpose is to confirm that the form looks and behaves as expected from the user’s interface.
preview tab dashboard
The Preview tab includes a set of controls that help simulate different user environments and viewing conditions:
|
1. Select Device Type button. 2. Switch to Portrait Orientation button. |
3. Hide Invisible Elements button. 4. Form preview. |
Here's an interactive tutorial
select device type button
The Select Device Type button allows admins to preview the form as it would appear on different devices. This helps validate layout, spacing, and usability across screen sizes. Supported device previews include:
- iPhone SE.
- iPhone 15.
- iPhone 15 Plus.
- iPad Mini.
- iPad Air.
- Android Phone.
- Android Tablet.
- Microsoft Surface.
Switching devices updates the preview instantly without modifying the form configuration.
switch to portrait orientation button
This button changes the orientation of the selected device preview.
Admins can toggle between landscape and portrait views to verify how the form adapts to different screen orientations. This is especially useful for mobile and tablet testing.
hide invisible elements button
The Hide Invisible Elements button hides all fields and elements that are currently configured as invisible.
This allows admins to see the form exactly as an end user would, without placeholders or hidden components that are visible only during design or configuration.
form preview area
The form preview area displays the form in its interactive preview state. Within this space, admins can:
- Enter sample values.
- Trigger conditional logic.
- Navigate between pages.
- Validate field visibility, enablement, and layout.
All interactions simulate the live form experience while remaining isolated from production data. This makes the Preview tab a safe testing environment to verify form behavior before deployment.
