Managing Resolution Codes

Advanced Task Management Admins can create and manage resolution codes to customize task resolution descriptions. 

Creating Resolution Codes

1. Navigate to the Admin page and select Advanced Task Management Setup.

2. Select Resolution Codes.

3. In the Resolution Codes tab, click +Add Code.

4. Fill in the following details:

  • Name: Enter the resolution code name.
  • Description: Provide additional details about the resolution code for internal reference.
  • Category: Select a category from the dropdown. Default options: Completed, No Longer Needed, Not Applicable.
  • Group (optional): Choose an existing resolution code group.
  • Is Active: Select Yes to activate or No to deactivate.

5. Click the Save icon. A confirmation message—Resolution Code Created Successfully—will appear in the bottom-right corner of the screen, and the new code will be added to the grid.

Editing Resolution Codes

1. In the Resolution Codes tab, locate the desired resolution code to modify, and click the Edit icon.

2. Update any of the following editable fields:

  • Name
  • Description
  • Category
  • Group
  • Is Active

3. Click the Save icon. A confirmation message—Resolution Code Updated Successfully—will appear in the bottom-right corner.

Activating/Deactivating Resolution Codes

1. In the Resolution Codes tab, locate the resolution code to activate/deactivate and click the Edit icon.

2. Change the Is Active dropdown to Yes or No.
NOTE: Deactivated codes will remain in the system but will not be used in task resolutions until reactivated.

3. Click the Save icon. A confirmation message—Resolution Code Updated Successfully—will appear.

Creating Resolution Code Groups

Advanced Task Management Admins can also organize resolution codes using groups for easier management. To create a new resolution codes group, follow these steps:

1. Navigate to Advanced Task Management SetupResolution Codes Resolution Code Groups tab.

2. Click + Add Group.

3. Fill in the following details: 

  • Name: Enter the group name.
  • Description: Add a description of the group for internal reference.
  • Is Active: Select Yes or No.

4. Click the Save icon. A confirmation message—Resolution Code Group Created Successfully—will appear, and the new group will be added to the grid. It will also be available in the Group dropdown when creating resolution codes.

1. Locate the desired group in the Resolution Code Groups tab and click the Edit icon.

2. Update any of the following editable fields:

  • Name
  • Description
  • Is Active

3. Click the Save icon. A confirmation message—Resolution Code Group Updated Successfully—will appear.

1. Locate the desired group in the Resolution Code Groups tab and click the Edit icon.

2. Change the Is Active dropdown to Yes or No.
