A hard refresh clears the cached version of the application in your browser, ensuring you have the newest Neostella features, fixes, and UI updates. This avoids issues caused by outdated cached content.

 

Definitions

  • Cache: Temporary data saved by the browser to help pages load faster.
  • Hard refresh: A command that bypasses the saved cache and forces the browser to download the most recent version of the platform.

 

How-To Instructions

Windows PC

  1. Open Neostella in your browser.
  2. Press Ctrl + F5 or Ctrl + Shift + R if you use Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, or Mozilla Firefox.
  3. Alternatively, hold Ctrl and click the Reload icon in any of the mentioned browsers.

Mac

  1. Open Neostella in your browser.
  2. Press Command ⌘ + Shift ⇧ + R if you use Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, or Mozilla Firefox.
  3. Press Command ⌘ + Option ⌥ + R if you use Safari.
  4. Alternatively, hold Shift ⇧ and click the Reload icon in any of these browsers.

 

Use Cases

  • Follow these steps either when a new platform update is released and the changes are not displayed or when an interface element is not loading as expected.
