The Time feature within the Finance menu, in the Control Center workspace, defines how time entries are recorded and rounded across the platform, ensuring that all the time logs tracked by your team follows a consistent structure, making reporting, billing, and auditing easier and more reliable.

To navigate to the Time page, follow these steps:

  1. After accessing Neostella, click the grid icon and select the Control Center workspace.
  2. Navigate to Finance > Time. The Time interface is displayed.

In the Time interface, the TIME ROUNDING tab is displayed by default. The element is described below:

Once clicked the Rounding Rule* and Time Parameters* dropdowns are displayed.


how to configure the time rounding

To configure the time rounding for Time Entries, follow these steps:

  1. In the Time Rounding interface click the Edit icon. The  Rounding Rule* and Time Parameters* dropdowns are displayed.
  2. Select the Rounding Rule*. Default options are:
  • No Rounding: Time is recorded exactly as entered.
  • Round Up: Time entries will always be rounded up to the next multiple of the selected time interval.
  • Round Nearest: Time entries will be rounded to the nearest multiple of the selected time interval (either up or down), unless the lower bound of the interval is 0.
  1. Select the Time Parameters*. Default options are:
  • 6 Minutes: Time entries will be rounded based on 6-minute intervals.
  • 15 Minutes: Time entries will be rounded based on 15-minute intervals.
  1. Click the check iconto save the configuration. A message is displayed.
All new time entries will follow the saved configuration. Existing time entries are not updated retroactively when changes are made. They keep the rounding applied at the time they were created.
