Overview
The Child Tenant tab allows users to create and manage Child Tenants.
Child Tenants are logically isolated sub-tenants within a multi-tenant system, created under your Parent Tenant, which is used to represent separate organizational units with independent resources, users, and configurations. Such units inherit the same type of license as the Parent Tenant.
- The Child Tenant feature is available for the Neodeluxe Portal Premium plan.
- The Child Tenant does not inherit the products available in the Parent Tenant.
How to Navigate to the Child Tenant Page
- Go to the Admin menu and select General.
- Click Company Details, then select the Child Tenant tab.
Child Tenant Interface
The Child Tenant tab contains the following elements:

The displayed table lists all the Child Tenants that were created in the Parent Tenant. The table contains the following columns:

How to Create a Child Tenant

To create a new Child Tenant, follow these steps:
- After accessing your Parent Tenant, navigate to the Admin menu and select General.
- Choose Company Details and then navigate to the Child Tenant tab.
- Click + Create Child Tenant.
- Enter the Child Name. The URL Subdomain field will auto-fill based on the entered name.
- Modify the URL Subdomain field (optional).
- In the Contact Details section, enter the information of the designated Child Tenant administrator:
- Contact First Name: Child Tenant admin’s first name.
- Contact Last Name: Child Tenant admin’s last name.
- Contact Email: Child Tenant admin’s email address.
The Contact Details must match the designated Child Tenant´s Admin. This user will receive access credentials via email and must complete the user setup as outlined in How to Complete Your Child Tenant Admin Setup.
- Click the Save button. The Child Tenant has been successfully created message is displayed, and an email is sent to the indicated Contact Email with the Child Tenant URL and Username.

The URL Subdomain must:
- Be unique within the Parent Tenant.
- Contain 3 to 25 characters and have no spaces. If already in use, an error message appears: The subdomain has already been taken.

The Contact Email:
- Must not be associated with any existing user in the Parent Tenant. If it is, the following error appears: Email already in use.

After the Child Tenant is Saved:
- It inherits the license type from the Parent Tenant.
- It does not inherit the products available in the Parent Tenant.
- Only the Child Name can be edited.
- Its URL Subdomain and Contact Details cannot be modified.
- It can be accessed at https://<indicatedurlsubdomain>.app.neodeluxe.com.
- You cannot delete or inactivate it. If it is required to delete a Child Tenant, please contact our Product Support Team: Email: help@neostella.com or Submit a Request: Click here to submit a ticket.
Before using the Child Tenant, the user configured in the Contact Details section must complete the Child Tenant Admin Setup explained below.
Before using the Child Tenant, the user in the Parent Tenant must grant multi-tenancy partnership access for that Child Tenant, as explained in Partner Access: Manage Partner Tenant Access.
How to Complete Your Child Tenant Admin Setup

Once you complete the Child Tenant creation as explained in How to Create a Child Tenant, a message is sent to the Contact Email provided.
This message includes the Child Tenant URL and the Username required to complete your admin user account creation in the Child Tenant.
This setup is only required the first time you access the Child Tenant.
To complete the user setup, follow these steps:
- Go to your email provider and open the You've been invited to join Child Tenant's client portal email.
This message contains the Child Tenant URL and your Username.
- Click the Neodeluxe Portal URL link in the message.
- In the login page, enter the provided Username in the Email or Phone Number (+ Country Code) field and click Log In.
- In the Create new password page, enter your new Password, confirm it in Repeat password, and click Continue. Your user account is now active and logged into the Child Tenant.
- Password Requirements: Your password must contain at least eight characters, including: one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter, one number, and one symbol.
- By default, the created user is assigned the Portal Admin role in the Child Tenant.
- After a Portal Admin user in the Parent Tenant grants multi-tenancy partnership access to that Child Tenant (see Partner Access: Manage Partner Tenant Access), the created user will be able to manage the Child Tenant.

How to Edit a Child Tenant’s Name

Follow these steps to edit a Child Tenant:
Only the Child Name is editable. The URL Subdomain and Contact Details cannot be modified.
- In the Child Tenant table, locate the row that corresponds to the Child Tenant you want to edit and click the Edit icon
.
- Modify the Child Name and click Save. The following message appears: Your changes have been saved successfully.
