Managing Existing Queues

As an Admin in Advanced Task Management, you have the ability to manage, modify, and monitor queues efficiently, ensuring streamlined task flows for case management work. The sections below walk through how to edit, publish, deactivate, and activate existing queues.

Editing an Existing Queue

1. In Task Manager Queues, locate the queue you want to modify and click on its name.

2. In the Queue Editor, modify the queue, then click Save. A notification displaying Queue Updated Successfully will appear in the bottom-right corner of the screen.

NOTE: 

  • For Triggered by Tasks queues: All sections can be modified.
  • For Triggered by Criteria queues: Only Queue Details and Task Details sections can be edited. Entry and exit criteria cannot be changed.

Modifying Task Flows in the Visual Flow Editor

Admins can visually view and modify task flows using the Flow Editor to visualize the sequence and execution logic of queues.

1. In Task Manager Queues, locate the queue you want to modify and click on its name.

2. Navigate to the Flow Editor tab to view the flow diagram showing all Queue Names involved, and their Execution Time.

Linking Queues in the Flow Editor

1. Click the icon to the right of the queue block.

2. Enter the following details:

  • Added Queue: Select an existing queue from the dropdown. If the selected queue is linked to multiple other queues, all will appear in the diagram.
  • Triggering Queue - Not Editable: Pre-filled with the previous queue's name.
  • Next Queue: Shows the connected queue(s).
    • By clicking the X at the right of each queues name, you can delete the queue from the flow diagram.

    • If no queue is connected to the block, this field will be empty.

  • Execute After (Days): Enter the number of days the task will be created after completion of the previous queue's task.

3. Click Link. The new queue and its linked queues will appear in the Flow Editor.

Unlinking Queues in the Flow Editor

NOTE: This feature is under development and will be available soon.

1. Click the trash icon in the top-right corner of the queue block.

2. The queue and its linked queues will be removed from the flow.

Publishing a Queue (Go Live)

When a saved queue is not "Live", the Go Live button is enabled in the Status column of the queues grid. To set a queue to “Live”, follow these steps:

1. Locate the queue in the Queues list. 

2. In the Status column, click the Go Live button.

3. In the popup, confirm the action by clicking Go Live. The message Queue Updated Successfully will appear in the bottom-right corner.

Deactivating a Queue

1. In Task Manager Queues, locate the queue you want to deactivate and click on its name.

2. In the Queue Editor, locate the Is Active toggle in the Queue Details section.

3. Switch it off, and then click Save.

Reactivating a Queue

1. In Task Manager Queues, check the Show inactive queues box.

2. Locate the queue you want to activate and click on its name.

3. In the Queue Editor, locate the Is Active toggle in the Queue Details section.

4. Switch it on, and then click Save.
