Obtaining Filevine OAuth Access Tokens

Prerequisites: The following steps must be completed by a Filevine Account Admin. To verify whether you have Account Admin permissions, follow the guidelines below:

Account Admin Verification:

  • Go to User Icon > Manage My Account.
  • If you see advanced options like Account Manager, you are an Account Admin. If you don't see these menu items, please identify and contact the Admin for your organization.
  • Typically, only 1–2 people per organization have this highest permission level.
  • For more information about the Admin role in Filevine, visit: Filevine Admin.

Step 1: Activate Neodeluxe Integrations

  1. Navigate to Menu > Advanced > Integrations.

  2. Locate each Neodeluxe app you plan to use and click Activate.

Step 2: Create a Service Account

  1. Navigate to Menu > Advanced > Service Accounts.
  2. Create a new service account for each integration you activated.
    • If the integrations do not appear in the dropdown menu, hold Shift and click the browser refresh icon to reload the list.

Step 3: Create an Access Token

  1. Go to User Icon > Manage My Account > Access Tokens.
  2. Click New: Create one token per service account per integration.
  3. Save the value shown in the popup dialog box after creating the token, and store it in a secure location. You will not be able to retrieve this token again after closing the popup.
NOTE: This value in the popup dialog is the value to send to Neostella - not the "token" value you see in your list of tokens.
  4. Securely provide the values to Neostella with each value clearly labeled with its associated user/integration.
