Troubleshooting Alert Notifications in Neodeluxe Data Governance AI

When using Neodeluxe Data Governance AI in Filevine through the Neodeluxe Sidebar, users may experience a short delay in alert notifications. If an alert is still not displaying after a few minutes, please follow these troubleshooting steps:

1. Check Rule Status

Ensure the rule status is set to Live in Neodeluxe. For more information on publishing a rule, please read Go Live/Publish a Rule.

2. Verify Rule Activation

Click on the rule name and verify that the Is Active Field is set to Yes. For more information, please read Activate a Rule.

3. Confirm Neodeluxe Sidebar Setup

Ensure the installation and login for the Neodeluxe Sidebar were properly set up. For more information, please read Neodeluxe Sidebar Setup & Login.

4. Ensure Data Governance is Selected

Verify the Data Governance radio button option is selected in the Neodeluxe Sidebar.

5. Check Server Connection

Verify that the cloud icon at the top of the Neodeluxe Sidebar Extension is properly connected to the servers.

Troubleshooting Acceptable Value Alerts

If you've confirmed the Neodeluxe Sidebar is setup correctly, and you still aren't receiving alerts for Acceptable Values, follow these steps to troubleshoot:

  1. Verify the Project Type: Verify that the Filevine project the users are managing, is structured using the SAME Project Type linked to the rule.
  2. Verify the Criteria Are Met: Ensure the rule's criteria are MET when users are managing a Filevine project. If the criteria are not satisfied in the project, the rule is not evaluated.

If the rule does not have an established criteria, this verification does not apply.

  1. Verify the Correct Field: Make sure users are entering information into the correct SECTION and FIELD specified in the rule.
  2. Verify if the Entered Value Is Indeed NOT Accepted: Verify that the value the user enters does not match any Acceptable Values defined in the rule. To test the alert (troubleshooting purposes), deliberately enter an invalid value—if the value is not accepted, the alert will appear; otherwise if the value is accepted, no alert will appear.

Troubleshooting Mandatory Field Alerts

If you've confirmed the Neodeluxe Sidebar is set up correctly by users, and they still aren't receiving alerts for User Access, follow these steps to troubleshoot:

  1. Verify the Project Type:  Verify that the Filevine project the users are managing, is structured using the SAME Project Type linked to the rule.
  2. Verify the Criteria are Met: Ensure the rule's criteria are MET when users are managing a Filevine project. If the criteria are not satisfied in the project, the rule is not evaluated.

Remember Rules Based on Mandatory Fields require the criteria setup.

  1. Verify the Correct Field: Make sure users are entering information into the correct SECTION and FIELD(S) specified as mandatories in the rule.

Troubleshooting User Access Alerts

If you've confirmed the Neodeluxe Sidebar is set up correctly by users, and they still aren't receiving alerts for User Access, when performing an action, follow these steps to troubleshoot:

  1. Verify the Project Type: In case of Rules with Governance Source*: Project Type, verify that the Filevine project the users are managing, is structured using the SAME Project Type linked to the rule.
  2. Verify the Contact Card: In case of Rules with Governance Source*: Contact Card, verify that the contact card fields configured in the rule are correct.
  3. Verify the Criteria Are Met: Ensure the rule's criteria are MET when users are managing a Filevine project. If the criteria are not satisfied in the project, the rule is not evaluated.

If the rule does not have an established criteria, this verification does not apply.

  1. Verify Assigned Access Permissions:  Confirm whether the rule was configured to Grant Access to or Deny Access to users.

If the rule was configured to Grant Access to users, no alert will be displayed.

  1. Check the User List: Ensure the user performing the action in the Filevine project was included in the list of users to whom the rule applies.
  2. Validate the Selected Type of Access and Actions: Confirm the Type of Access configured in the rule (For Governance Source*: Project Type: Project Phase Change, Notes, Project Information, Collection Item or Form and For Governance Source*: Contact Cards: Contact Cards) and the Actions correspond to the performed actions by the user within the Filevine project.

Remember that certain actions can be configured according to the Type of Access as follows:
