stages

  • Updated

The Stages page in the Control Center workspace, under the Process Studio menu, allows users with administrative permissions to define which stages are available for Projects and Leads.

These stages are displayed when users manage a Project in the Cases workspace or a Lead in the Intake workspace.

Through the Stages page users can configure both project and lead stages. This setup works as follows:

  • Custom Project Stages can be associated with each Project Type. When a recorded Project is managed, users can assign one of those stages.
  • Lead Stages configuration follows a different approach. Predefined system stages are associated with each Lead Type. When managing a Lead, users can assign one of these stages. Each stage corresponds to a specific platform action, such as Open, Refer, Archive, Delete, Rejected, or Converted, and represents how the platform processes that Lead.
A Project Type is the template defining the structure for the recorded projects built on that Project Type. And the Lead Type serves as a template that defines the structure of all leads created under that Lead Type.

key benefits

  • Define stages per Project Type: Configure custom stages that can be assigned when managing projects, based on their Project Type.
  • Use system-driven stages for leads: Lead stages are predefined and linked to platform actions such as Open, Refer, Archive, Delete, Rejected, and Converted.
  • Control available stage options: Ensure users can only select from the stages configured for the specific Project Type or Lead Type.
  • Enable stage assignment during management: Users can assign and update stages directly when managing a Project in the Cases workspace or a Lead in the Intake workspace.
  • Align stages with platform processing (leads): Each lead stage represents how the platform processes that lead (For example: A Converted lead becomes in a Project).
  • Maintain consistency across records: Projects and leads of the same type follow the same predefined stage structure.
