The Partners tool is the centralized space where administrators establish and manage partnerships between a law firm and external organizations within Neostella.

This tool is available directly within each client’s law firm account and enables controlled collaboration with third-party entities. Through Partners, admins can define which external organizations can interact with their account and under what scope.

Partners act as a shared access layer across the platform, allowing other tools, such as Groups, to reference and utilize partner relationships for access control and collaboration.

By default, Neostella is always configured as a partner within the law firm environment.

how partners works

The Partners tool enables controlled data sharing between a law firm and its partners. When a law firm establishes a partnership, it creates a secure connection between the two organizations. However, creating the partnership alone does not grant access to any data or workflows.

To enable collaboration, partner-managed groups must be configured between the two accounts. These groups define and govern access, ensuring that partner organizations can interact only with the data and workflows explicitly authorized.

Accessing the Partners workspace is straightforward:

1. Log in to Neostella.
2. Open the Control Center.
3. Click Access.
4. Select Partners.

The Partners dashboard provides the following features:

1. Partners tool
2. Available Partners list
3. My Partners list
4. ADD button
5. REMOVE button

 

available partners list

The Available Partners list displays all partner organizations that can be assigned to the law firm. Administrators can browse and select partners from this list to enable new relationships.

Note: Not all accounts can be potential partners, only those set like that (partner) when they were created.

my partners list

The My Partners list contains all partners currently assigned to the law firm. Partners included in this list become available across other tools within Neostella, enabling integrated collaboration and access configuration.

The ADD button assigns selected partners to the My Partners list. When selected, partners move from the Available Partners list into My Partners, making them active within the firm’s ecosystem.

remove button

The REMOVE button unlinks selected partners from the My Partners list. Once removed, partners are returned to the Available Partners list and are no longer active within the firm’s configuration.

Note: When a partnership is ended, all partner managed / owned groups between the current account and the one removed are deactivated.
