March 27th to 31st

Search Infrastructure Auto-Provisioning:

All search components, including indexes, views, analyzers, and computed values, are now automatically created when a new tenant is provisioned, removing the need for manual setup.


process studio - automation

External HTTP POST Action:

A new action in the Automation Builder allows integrations with third-party systems by sending a POST request to a specified URL, including the Object ID and Context ID from the Starting Rule.

Starting Rules for All RAW Events:

Starting Rules now support all RAW events, allowing users to trigger automations on object creation, updates, and other custom events for both system and custom objects.

Deleted Status for Automations:

A new Deleted status is now available in the Automation Canvas to better reflect the lifecycle of removed automations.

Loop Iterations in Execution Logs:

Execution logs now display individual loop iterations, providing greater visibility into automation runs.

Edit Published and Unpublished Automations:

Users can now edit both published and unpublished automations directly from the Automation Canvas Editor.

Starting Rule AQL Migration:

Starting Rules have been migrated to use AQL, improving consistency and query performance.

Calculate Date Difference Result:

Fixed Calculate Date Difference returning incorrect results when the start and end dates are equal. The expected result is now 0.

Dynamic Variable Selection in Time Actions:

Fixed date fields not allowing dynamic variable selection in Time Actions.

Context Object Record ID Dropdown:

Fixed the Context Object Record ID dropdown showing empty or undefined records at the bottom of the options list in Create and Update actions.

Automation Version Auto-Save:

Fixed an issue where adding a new automation version triggered an auto-save that incorrectly replaced an existing Unpublished version with a Draft.

Lead Stage Management:

Users can now manage and configure stages for Leads directly within the platform.

Zoom Integration Window:

Fixed the Zoom integration window getting stuck in the medical tab and being unremovable.

Edit Working Session Name:

Users can now rename working sessions directly from the platform.

Working Session List in Details Panel:

The details panel now displays a list of working sessions associated with a document.

Thumbnails in Tile View:

Document thumbnails are now retrieved and displayed in the Tile View for a richer browsing experience.

Thumbnails in Details Panels:

Thumbnails are now applied and visible within document details panels.

Folders in Document Grid:

Folders can now be added to and managed within the Document Grid, improving document navigation and organization.

Working Session Name Update:

Fixed the Working Session name failing to update due to an error in the PUT /working sessions endpoint.

Documents Grid Navigation:

Fixed inconsistent navigation behavior in the Documents grid.

Document List in Project View:

Fixed the Document List not displaying correctly in the Project view.

Upload Documents to Folders:

Fixed an issue preventing users from uploading documents to folders. Previously, the platform showed a success message followed by a permission error and upload failure.

Word Add-in Variable Insertion:

Fixed Word Add-in variable insertion failing with a 404 error on the documents/template/upload endpoint.

Drag-and-Drop Folder Behavior:

Fixed unexpected behavior when dragging and dropping files into specific folders.

Object Builder Navigation, Search, and Visibility:

The Object Builder has been enhanced with improved navigation, search capabilities, and field visibility controls.

Hidden and Archived Fields Restriction:

Hidden or archived fields can no longer be inserted into display cards, details panels, or grids, helping preserve data integrity.

Date Values in Period and Date Fields:

Fixed an error when saving date values in Period and Date fields in Projects.

Custom Object is system Value:

Fixed new custom object fields being created with is_system: false instead of the correct value.

Imported Objects Missing Mandatory Attributes:

Fixed objects being imported without their mandatory attributes.

Numeric Field Icons:

Fixed field icons missing after creating numeric fields.

Import Button Action:

Fixed the IMPORT button not triggering any action when an issue is identified during object import.

Type Validations After Import:

Fixed type validations not being enforced after importing an object.

PUT Fields is_system Protection:

Fixed the PUT fields endpoint allowing unauthorized changes to the is_system attribute.

Dropdown Saved Default Values:

Fixed dropdown saved default values not displaying in the frontend even though they were saved in the backend.

Empty Non-Required Dropdown Blocking Save:

Fixed an empty, non-required dropdown field blocking users from saving a new project.

Dropdown and Multiple-Choice Values in Grid:

Fixed dropdown and multiple-choice field values not displaying in the grid after saving.

Date Format in Forms:

Fixed the wrong date format being displayed in Date fields within Forms.

Org Object Editing in Production:

Fixed the inability to edit the Org object in Production.

System Field Limitations and Deletion:

Fixed an issue allowing users to add limitations to and delete system fields in new custom objects.

 


March 23th to 27th

Data Mapping Workspace:

A new data Mapping section is now available in the Control Center under the Schema menu. This workspace centralizes all transformation-related configurations, making data migration and alignment easier to manage.

Legacy ID Traceability:

This feature links legacy system IDs to Neostella records, allowing users to track, validate, and see exactly what data was migrated, its source, and how it relates within the platform, providing full migration traceability.

Transformation Configuration Endpoints:

Neostella now supports endpoints to store and reuse transformation configurations ensuring consistent and scalable data transformation across migrations.

Guided Data Transformation Mapping:

A guided mapping and transformation process helps align incoming client data with the Neostella schema, allowing users to map and transform data efficiently.

Data Contract API: 

Data Contracts can now be exposed via API. This allows users to view source data structures directly in the transformation UI for better clarity during mapping.

Adapter  for Schema Generation (Filevine Oriented):

A standardized method to convert client data structures into Neostella platform schema was implemented, ensuring consistency regardless of the source system.

Raw Schema Extraction & JSON Standardization: 

Automatically extracts client database structures and converts them into a standardized JSON format for easier processing and migration.

Schema Import Endpoint:

Implementation teams can now automatically generate the customer’s schema, using a dedicated endpoint.

Partner Tenant Provisioning:

A Neostella partner tenant is now automatically created and linked to new tenants, enabling streamlined support and operational collaboration.

Predefined Custom Filevine Objects:

Neostella tenants can automatically include common Filevine objects (such as Contacts, Projects, and Documents) as part of their schema setup.

Filevine Schema Import via API: 

Neostella can now retrieve and recreate a client’s Filevine schema directly via API, reducing manual setup.

Connection Status Notification: 

Users will now see a Connecting message when Neostella is re-establishing its connection to notification services, improving visibility during connection interruptions.

Keyboard-Driven Rule Builder:

The Rule Builder has been upgraded with a faster, keyboard-first experience. Users can type directly, use auto-suggestions, and build rules more efficiently with less reliance on mouse clicks.

Automatic Group Deactivation on Partnership End:

When a partnership ends, all partner-managed or owned groups are automatically deactivated. The platform preserves access for users with other valid roles, ensuring secure and controlled access.

Lead-to-Project Type Mapping:

Lead Types can now be linked to Project Types. When a lead is converted, the corresponding Project Type is automatically assigned based on the configured mapping.

Hard Delete for Objects (YOLO Mode):

Now is allowed the permanent deletion of custom objects without schema validation. This feature is controlled by a feature flag and should be used with caution.

Filtered Relationship Endpoints: 

Relationships can now be filtered based on the allow for attribute, enabling more precise control over how object relationships are retrieved and used.

Fact Index Filter Panel Removed:

Removed the filter panel from the Fact Index view to reduce confusion and improve usability.

Folder Structure Editing: 

Users can now rename folders and reorganize their hierarchy directly within the folder tree.

Templates Grid Standardization:

The Templates grid in Control Center now matches the standard grid experience used across the platform for consistency.

Outcome Code Management: 

Users can now fully manage (create, edit, delete) workflow completion codes and snooze reasons directly within the platform. 


March 10th to 16th

Environment Kill Switch:

Platform administrators can now enable or disable individual tenants or entire environments (such as Production or Staging) to mitigate critical issues or control system behavior during maintenance.

Bulk Tag Assignment:

Tags can now be bulk assigned or removed from multiple permission sets and user groups directly from their respective grids.

Owner Profile Editing Restriction:

Fixed issue preventing the Owner user from editing their own profile

Tenant Subdomain Update Issue: 

Fixed URL subdomain not updating when switching tenants.

Invitation Logo Expiry:

 Fixed Neostella logo in invitation emails expiring after one hour.


finance -Time tracking

Time Tracking:

A complete Time tracking experience is now available, enabling users to log, manage, and report on time directly.

Time Entries View and Management:

Users can view a comprehensive table of all their Time Entries across projects, with full visibility into related details for tracking and management.

Time entries can now be modified or removed directly from the Time Entries view.

Native Timer:

Users can create time entries manually or use a native timer. 

A visual indicator shows when a timer is running, even if the view is closed. 

Only one timer can run at a time, and users are prompted to pause the current timer if a new one is started.

Task & User Filters on Reports: Task and user filters are now available in Time Entry reports within Projects, making it easier to locate and analyze time records.

Rates Management:

The new Rates tab in the Invoicing interface allows users to create, manage, and assign billing rates. Rates include key details like name, amount, currency, validity dates, and description, and can be edited or deleted. A centralized list provides visibility, and users can be assigned or removed via a transfer list, with all tenant users and their rate information shown in one place.

Activity codes:

UI enhancements improve the experience of creating and managing activity codes, streamlining configuration and usability.

AI Explore: 

Users can now search and explore data using natural language. Neostella automatically generates filter chips from queries, allowing users to refine results dynamically. 

Reports can also be generated directly from natural language input.

AI Chat About Cases (Demo):

An AI assistant allows users to ask questions about a specific case and receive responses grounded in accessible project data, according to user permissions.

Advanced Search & Reports:

Improved performance for search and report execution.

Introduced context-aware filters, allowing users to build searches and reports using object relationships within specific contexts.

Inconsistent Search Results:

Fixed Advanced Search UI not consistently displaying results.

Filter Type Misclassification: 

Fixed relationship filters being treated as standard filters without inbound/outbound indicators.

Relationship Depth Selection Issue:

Fixed inability to select a field when adding a Relationship depth (All) filter.

Preview Feedback Mismatch: 

Fixed Preview showing a success message while displaying No fields selected despite fields being selected.

Report Name Duplication: 

Fixed execution name duplicating the saved report name.

Built-in Date & Time Actions:

The Automation Builder now includes native date and time actions to simplify workflow creation: Calculate Date Difference, Format Date to String, Get Age, Get Current Date Time, Update Date, Is Day Weekday.

Node Rename:

Fixed published automations allowing nodes to be renamed or deleted.

Export Schema:

Users can export objects including fields, field groups, and object types, into a JSON file for reuse, backup, or review.

Import Schema:

Previously exported schemas can now be imported into the same or different tenants, enabling faster configuration and environment replication.

Document Attachment Field:

Documents can now be attached and related directly within object fields.

Immutable Relationship Target: 

Fixed an issue where the target object of a relationship field could not be changed after creation.

Incorrect Label Rendering: 

Fixed an issue where the label in the relationship field header did not update to reflect the correct display text.

Document Field Errors: 

Errors occurring when uploading or saving documents in a single-relation document field were fixed.

Unexpected Sidebar Behavior: 

Fixed an unexpected sidebar behavior after selecting an object.

Missing Unsaved Changes Warning:

 Fixed missing unsaved-changes warning when editing the Display tab.


Adoption-data migration & provisioning

Fast Data Ingestion Tool:

A new ingestion tool enables rapid loading of large, pre-validated datasets, significantly improving migration speed.

Configurable Provisioning Services:

Provisioning services can now be dynamically enabled based on configuration, supporting flexible onboarding scenarios.

Automated S3 Bucket & IAM Setup:

Each new tenant automatically receives an S3 migration bucket and IAM user, eliminating manual setup and streamlining partner onboarding.

Fixed Project  label being incorrectly removed by a mapping error.

Improved Feature:

Improved layout and visual clarity in message drawers within Documents and Tasks

Cleaner main menu with removal of the Messages mock entry now that the feature is fully available

Dates standardized using ISO 8601 across the platform for improved consistency and interoperability

either from the Groups or from the integration user record within the Groups tab.

allowing administrators to control access and capabilities more precisely.

A Groups tab is now available in the Integration User record, allowing administrators to assign or remove group memberships directly from the user interface.

Users can now move documents between folders using drag-and-drop, simplifying document organization.

Replace Document File with Version History Preservation: 

Users can replace a document’s file while retaining the previous file in the version history, ensuring traceability and document continuity.

Refresh Version History: 

A new refresh icon has been added to the Version History panel, allowing users to manually reload the list of document versions.

Automatic Support for New File Extensions: 

New document file extensions are now automatically added to the filter list, ensuring that users can immediately filter documents by newly supported file types.

Workflows can now retrieve lists of custom object records, allowing automations to work with collections of structured data.

Create Custom Object Records: 

Workflows can now create new records in custom objects within the Project context, allowing automations to automatically structure and store project data.

Update Custom Object Records:

Automations can now update existing custom object records, ensuring project data remains accurate and synchronized.

Dynamic Variable Handling in Custom Object Actions:

Partner Groups Deactivation:

Partner groups are automatically deactivated when the partnership between tenants ends and cannot be reactivated while the partnership remains inactive. If the partnership is restored, groups can be reactivated manually.

Restricted Access for Integration Users:

Regular integration users no longer have access to internal or tenant services.

Owner Role Assignment:

Tenant owners can designate internal users as owners, granting elevated administrative access. This access can be revoked at any time.

Relationship fields now support multiple types, allowing users to associate more than one object type within the same field.
