This article explains how to manage the Settings tab when working with a Context. The Settings tab behaves slightly differently depending on whether it is an Object.
How to Change the Object Name
1. Click the Name field and clear the existing value.
2. Enter the new object name.
3. Click SAVE or SAVE AND CLOSE.
4 STEPS
1. To change the object name, start by clicking the Name field and clearing the existing value.
Enter the new object name you want to use.

2. Keep in mind, the object name is automatically assigned when the object is first created in the New Object Editor, but it can be updated later at any time from the Settings tab.

3. Click SAVE or SAVE AND CLOSE.

4. That's it. You have changed the object name.

How to Activate or Deactivate the Object
Objects are active by default when they are created. To activate or deactivate an object:
1. Click the Active toggle:
- Blue to activate the object.
- Gray to inactivate the object.
2. Click SAVE or SAVE AND CLOSE.

How to Edit the Plural Name
To update the plural name of an object:
1. Click the Plural Name field.
2. Clear the existing value.
3. Enter the new plural name.

How to Select a Creation Form
It is possible to define which form is associated with this context during record creation.
To select a creation form:
1. Click the Creation Form dropdown menu.
2. Select an existing form.
3. Click SAVE or SAVE AND CLOSE.

1. To select a creation form, this setting defines which form is used when creating a new record for this context.
First, click the Creation Form dropdown menu.

2. Then, select an existing form from the list or click + Create New Form to design a new one.

3. When you’re finished, click SAVE or SAVE AND CLOSE to apply the change.
Keep in mind, only for system objects, you can also create a new form directly from this menu.

4. That's it. You have created a new form.

How to Share Values Within a Context
It is possible to share object values across records within the same context. To share values within a context:
1. Enable the Share values within context checkbox.
2. Click SAVE or SAVE AND CLOSE.

How to Allow the Object For Other Tools
The Allow for setting controls which tools and areas of the platform can use the object. To allow the object for specific tools:
1. Click the Allow for dropdown menu.
2. Select the tools where this object should be available.
3. Click SAVE or SAVE AND CLOSE.

1. To allow the object for other tools,
this setting controls where the object can be used across the platform.
First, click the Allow for dropdown menu.

2. Then, select the tools where this object should be available.

3. When you’re ready, click SAVE or SAVE AND CLOSE to apply the change.
