How to Create a New Type
To create a new type:
1. Click the + New button.
A new type category is created automatically and appears at the bottom of the Type menu, ready to be configured.
2. Click SAVE or SAVE AND CLOSE.

How to Search for a Type
To quickly locate a specific type using the search bar:
1. Click the Search bar.
2. Enter the type name or part of the name.
Types that contain the entered text are automatically filtered and displayed in the Type menu.
How to Filter Hidden and Archived Types
To view only hidden types:
1. Click the Hidden button.
The Type menu displays only types that are currently hidden.
This filter depends on the limitations configured in the Limitations field of the type setup.
To view only archived types:
1. Click the Archived button.
The Type menu displays only types that are archived.

How to Filter by Abbreviation, Limitations or Sali Tag
To apply advanced filters:
1. Click the Filter button.
2. Use the dropdown menus to select one or more options for Abbreviation, Limitations or Sali Tag.
As selections are made, the Type menu updates automatically to show only matching types.

How to Expand or Collapse Type Views
To expand or collapse the type hierarchy:

How to Add Subtypes
Its main purpose is to add hierarchical subtypes to better organize data. It is possible to add up to four (4) levels of types and subtypes.
To add a subtype:
1. Click the + button next to a type or subtype.
A new subtype is created automatically under the selected type.
2. Click SAVE or SAVE AND CLOSE.

How to Set Up a Type
To configure a type, follow these steps:
1. Enter the type Name.
2. Review the API Name.
3. Enter an Abbreviation (optional).
4. Select Limitations (optional).
5. Select the Sali Tag (optional).
6. Click SAVE or SAVE AND CLOSE.

How to Assign a Field to a Type or Subtype
It is possible to restrict fields so they only appear for specific types or subtypes. To assign a field to a type or subtype:
1. Go to the Field Tab.
2. In the Fields menu, select a field.
3. In the Field Setup menu, locate Restrict to Project Types.
4. Select the checkboxes for the types or subtypes the field expected to belong to.
5. Click SAVE or SAVE AND CLOSE.

1. To assign a field to a type or subtype,
this lets you control where a field appears by limiting it to specific types or subtypes.
First, go to the Fields tab.

2. Then, in the Fields menu, select the field to configure.

3. In the Field Setup panel, locate Restrict to {object} Types option.

Types follow a hierarchical rule. By selecting both a subtype and a higher-level type, the system automatically applies the higher-level type and deselects the lower-level subtype.
