reports - executions tab overview

  • Updated

The EXECUTIONS tab is the operational center of the reporting experience. While the EXPLORE page is where users design and structure Report templates (selecting Objects, adding Columns, and applying Filters) and the REPORTS tab is where created reports can be managed, the EXECUTIONS tab is where you see the real results, the actual data generated when a Report is run.

Think of it this way:

  • REPORTS tab: Blueprints.
  • EXECUTIONS tab: Generated reports with real data inside.

Every time a Report is executed, Neostella captures that specific dataset and stores it here. This allows users to review historical executions, analyze trends over time, download results, and maintain full visibility into what data was generated and when.

key benefits

  • Visual Interactions: The dashboard provides interactive visualizations that allow users to select different chart types, apply filters based on specific fields, and customize chart elements.
  • Data Table: Users can view all results in a data table that can be reorganized, filtered, and customized to meet their needs.
  • Download Report: After applying the desired configurations, users can download a customized version of the report data.

limitations

  • Chart Rendering Limit: Chart rendering is limited to 5,000 rows. When the number of rows exceeds this limit, charts are disabled to prevent performance issues. However, the full dataset remains available in the data table below.
  • Chart Type Limitations: When a selected column contains a large number of unique values, pie and donut charts may become difficult to read due to category limits. In these cases, consider using a column or bar chart, or apply filters to reduce the number of displayed categories.
