Quick Take: Understand Filevine Field Selectors
In Filevine, fields are identified by different elements that are critical to the functionality of Advanced Conflict Check Pro:

Field/Section Name or Prompt: The displayed label in
Filevine.
It is editable in the Filevine Customs Editor and can contain spaces.
For Example: My Field Name. -
Field/Section Selector: The internal value set when
the
section, field, or widget is created. It cannot contain spaces.
For Example: myFieldName. -
Field Code: A combination of the section and field selectors,
enclosed in double curly brackets, to reference a specific field in a
Filevine
project type.
For Example: {{mySectionName.myFieldName}}.
Why the Override Field Setup is Important
If a Field Selector is changed in Filevine or if the API assigns a selector differently than expected, Advanced Conflict Check Pro may no longer locate the field correctly
To prevent these issues, the Override Field feature must be properly configured. This ensures Advanced Conflict Check Pro points to the correct field selectors, allowing to autofill correctly the field and point the correct data for the generated conflict check report.
- The Override Field setup must be completed with assistance from the Neostella Support team to ensure proper configuration.
- An incorrect setup will cause missing data when the autofill feature is used, or missing data in generated conflict check reports.
- This feature is not enabled by default. if you are experiencing field autofill issues or issues with the conflict search, please contact the Support team to help assist with this feature configuration. Use only when instructed by Neodeluxe Support.
