Contact Cards: Section Settings

Contact cards are made up of sections, and each section contains fields. Here, admins find a menu that allows admins to customize sections, rearrange them using drag-and-drop, and choose which ones to show or hide. 

Section Setting Dashboard

The Section Settings dashboard enables admins to customize all properties of the sections within their Contact Card. This menu becomes active after having created a Contact Card and clicked the Add Section button.

Add New Sections To a Contact Card

To add a new section, click the Add Section button on the buttom side of the panel. A new section is automatically created each time you click on it.

Set up Contact Cards Sections

Organize contacts easily by creating structured card sections. Follow these steps: 

1. Select a section.
2. Enter a Section Name.
Use the same name as the contact card found in Filevine.
3. Select the Filevine Contact Tab.
4. Click Apply.



  • The section name appears at the top, confirming that the section is ready with the contact card format.
  • The options that appear in the Filevine Contact Tab field come from Filevine. Each contact card is composed of different tabs. These are the ones that appear as an option in the Filevine Contact Tab field.

Drag and Drop Contact Cards Sections

The drag-and-drop button on the left side of the section lets admins rearrange sections by dragging and dropping. Here’s how:

1. Click on the drag-and-drop icon “
2. Drag and drop the section to the new position.
3. Click Save.

Delete Contact Cards Sections

To delete a section, click on the delete icon “”, and the entire section, including its fields, are removed automatically.

Display or Hide Contact Cards Sections

To display or hide a section, click on the downward/upward arrow to display the section or to hide it.
