Create a Contact Card

This article walks admins through the process of creating and managing contact cards using the Contact Cards Builder. Learn how to add essential information, preview the card before finalizing, and even discard any unwanted changes.

Access to the Contact Cards Builder

Follow these steps to access the contact card builder, where admins can create or update a contact card. 

1. Click Admin and then click Neodeluxe Portal.
2. Click Contact Card.
3. Click on the + Create Contact Card button.

The Contact Cards Builder will appear automatically.

Contact Cards Builder Dashboard

The Contact Cards Builder offers admins tools to create or update a contact card. Here are the elements that admins can find to customize their contact card.

1. Contact Card Settings menu
2. The new Contact Card with its sections and fields.
3.  Save button.

4. Preview Mode button
5. Cancel button

Create a Contact Card

Each contact card is made up of different tabs from Filevine. The fields that are reflected are conditional on the sections and only the fields that are already reflected in Filevine are visible in Noedeluxe Portal. Follow these steps to create one:

1. Click on + Create Contact Card button.
2. Enter a name in the Name field.
3. The Is Active field is set to Yes by default; no action is needed.
4. (Optional) Enter a description.
5. Click Apply.
6. Select the sections and fields for the contact card.
7. (Optional) Check a preview 
The name of the contact card will appear on the left
8. Click Save.

Save a Contact Card

Admins can save a contact card at any time, but each section must contain at least one field for the save option to become available.

1. Click on the Save button.
The system automatically redirects admins to the contact card dashboard.

Additionally, the newly created Contact Card appears in the table within the Contact Card dashboard.

Preview Mode of a Contact Card

This feature allows admins to view how the contact cards look at the end without saving them. All changes made in the contact card builder are automatically reflected in the preview mode. Check how: 

1. Click on the Preview Mode button.
You will be redirected to the Preview Mode dashboard. 



Key features admins will see: 

1. Come back button.
2. The contact card name.

3. All sections and fields of the contact card.
4. Creation Mode button.

Cancel a Contact Card

A Contact Card can be canceled at any time during the process of creation or updating. When canceled, all sections and fields are permanently deleted.

1. Click on the Cancel button.
You will be redirected to the Contact Card interface.
