Fields make up the core of a form. The Add Field menu allows users to add various field types, with up to 400 fields per form.
Add Field Interface
The Add Field interface displays the section's total field count, field names, drag-and-drop buttons, delete buttons, and the Add Field menu itself.

Types of Form Fields
Portal Forms support multiple field types to collect and present information effectively. These include:

Input Fields
Where users enter data.

Description Fields
Informative, view-only fields to provide instructions or guidance.

Perform automatic mathematical operations (e.g., addition, subtraction), on numerical fields from Filevine.

Add New Fields to Forms
To add a field to a section follow these steps:
1. Click the Add Field button within a section.
2. In the Add Field menu, enter the required information for the new field.
3. Click Apply to add the field to the section.
