If you need to make significant changes to your data or restore data, this article walks you through the steps for using the Bulk Updater and our data rehydration services.

Bulk Update Request

Use the Bulk Updater Automation to efficiently update large amounts of data. Follow the steps below to get started:

1. In the Bulk Import Project, navigate to the Bulk Update - Import section.
2. Click +Add an Item and select one of the following automation functions:

  • update_project: Update project names or phases.
  • update_form: Modify static form data.
  • create_collection_item: Add new items to a collection.
  • update_collection_item: Update existing collection items.

3. In the File to Load field, upload a new CSV file, or attach an existing one from Filevine.
4. Click on the upload “X” icon, select the CSV file, then click Open. The file name will appear.
5. Next to the CSV file name, click the chevron “X” icon to see more options.
6. Select Update and then select Upload a New Version.
7. Enter the Section Selector and specify where the import should happen.
8. Click CSV Import, then confirm by selecting Start Taskflow.
9. The automation's status (trigger, success, or failure) will be reported in the Activity section of the import project.

Bulk Update Request: Support Team

If you’re unable to complete a bulk update, contact our support team through the help center or by email at help@neostella.com.

Please provide the following information to help us assist you efficiently:

1. Client Name and Law Firm Name.
2. CSV Document:

  • Option 1: Attach the CSV document when contacting support..
  • Option 2: Provide a detailed description of the CSV, including the data you want to update.

3. Confirmation of the Data to Update (for example: Project Names, Project IDs).

If you are receiving an error message in the Activity section, please include a screenshot when contacting support.

Once we receive this information, our team will process the bulk update. Please allow time for completion, as the duration depends on the volume of data.
