Current Limitations of Fact Link
Understanding the current limitations of Fact Link is key to troubleshooting and managing expectations when using the product. We are continuously enhancing the product. To request a specific feature or functionality for Neodeluxe Fact Link, please create a post here.
What Fact Link CANNOT Do At This Time:
- It does not support file types other than PDF.
- It cannot upload more than 20 files at one time.
- The maximum file size for a single document is 2GB.
Why Can’t I Select Text in the Document to Add a Fact?
Ensure the PDF document contains accessible text. Scanned documents and image-based PDFs do NOT support facts based on text selection. For these types of PDFs, only full-page facts can be added.
Tip: To ensure your PDFs support text selection, ensure the document is OCR (Optical Character Recognition) processed.
Why Can't I Upload Documents Within a Package?
- Ensure all documents are in PDF format.
- If the file size exceeds 2GB, reduce the file size or upload smaller documents.
- Ensure that you are not trying to upload more than 20 files at once.
Why Can’t I Upload a File in the package?
The following file types are not supported at this time:
- Microsoft Word (.doc,.docx), Excel (.xls,.xlsx), PowerPoint (.ppt,.pptx)
- Media Files: (.jpg, .jpeg, .png, .gif, .mp4, .mov, .mp3)
- Text Files (.txt)
Only PDF files are supported:
- PDF documents with accessible text: Support facts based on selected text or full-page facts, including OCR-processed PDFs.
- Image-based PDF documents: Support only full-page facts, as the text is stored as an image. Facts based on selected text are not supported.
Why Is the Exported PDF File Empty and Lacking Facts Information?
The exported Fact Sheet will be empty if no facts have been added to the documents within a package. Double-check that facts have been added to a package before attempting the export.
Why Can’t I Export Facts?
Ensure that the selected document(s) for export contain at least one fact. If no facts exist within the documents, the export will fail.
