Correcting Input with the Neodeluxe Sidebar

Neodeluxe Data Governance AI ensures data quality and standardization by alerting users when Filevine input doesn’t meet defined rules. These alerts help Filevine users correct input in real time. Below are the steps to correct input in Filevine using the Neodeluxe Sidebar.

NOTE: Data Governance AI alerts are informative, helping users maintain data quality and completeness. However, they do not block a user from saving a Filevine project with incorrect or incomplete information.

Correcting Input for Acceptable Value-Based Rules

When a signed-in user enters an unapproved value into a Filevine field, the Neodeluxe Sidebar immediately provides an alert.

NOTE: Users must be signed into the Neodeluxe Sidebar to receive Data Governance alerts in real time. Admins are able to review alerts through Neodeluxe in real-time.

How to Correct Input After Receiving an Alert

1. A pop-up in the upper right-hand corner will notify the user the entered value is not approved (meaning it is not on the acceptable values list applied to the rule). The notification will also appear in the Neodeluxe Sidebar.

2. In the Neodeluxe Sidebar, click on the Valid Names List dropdown in the associated notification.

3. Choose the desired value to input into the Filevine field and copy it.

4. Click Please Click Here to Fix The Name button to navigate to the associated project in Filevine.

5. Optional: If the desired value is not part of the Valid Names List, click +Add New Values to request its addition.

Correcting Input for Criteria-Based Rules

Criteria-Based Rules ensure required information is filled out. If any mandatory fields are missing when saving a Filevine project, an alert will appear.

NOTE: Users must be signed into the Neodeluxe Sidebar to receive Data Governance alerts in real time. 

How to Correct Missing Fields After Receiving an Alert

1. A pop-up in the upper right-hand corner will notify the user that required information is still pending. The notification will also appear in the Neodeluxe Sidebar. 

2. In the Neodeluxe Sidebar, click on the Mandatory Fields List dropdown in the associated notification to view all required mandatory fields sorted by project section. Missing mandatory fields will be highlighted in yellow and placed at the top of their section's list for easy identification. 

3. Fill in the missing fields to ensure all necessary information is provided.
