Understand Alerts
Alerts triggered in the Neodeluxe Sidebar can be tracked and managed through Neodeluxe by navigating to the Data Governance menu and selecting the Alerts tab.
Here, Admins can view an overview of alerts including:
- Track unresolved alerts
- Review details related to each alert
- View resolved alerts
- Resolve unresolved alerts
Alerts Interface
When admins access the Alerts tab, the interface includes the following elements:
- Show Resolved Alerts: Check this box to additionally display alerts with a Resolved status in the grid.
- Resolve N Alerts: This button becomes active when one or more Unresolved alerts are selected. Clicking it will resolve all selected alerts in bulk.
- Alerts grid: Contains the following columns:
Column | Description |
Checkbox | Check this box |
Rule Name | The name of the rule that triggered the alert. |
Resource | The name of the Filevine Project where the alert was triggered. When the Governance source is a Contact Card, the resource is empty. |
Resource ID | The ID of the Filevine Project or Contact ID where the alert was triggered. |
Status |
Displays the current status of the alert. Resolved: The alert was resolved by a user in the Filevine Project where the alert was triggered. Admin Resolved: The alert was resolved by an Admin through the Neodeluxe Portal Alerts tab. Unresolved: The alert was triggered but hasn’t been resolved. |
Alert Count | Number of times the alert has been modified/triggered in the specific Filevine Project. |
Last Updated By | Displays the username of the last person who updated the Filevine project that triggered the alert. |
Last Updated At | Displays the date (mm/dd/yyyy) and time (hh:mm am/pm) of the most recent update to the Filevine project that triggered the alert. |
Resolve Alerts
- Navigate to the Alerts tab in the Data Governance menu to view the list of alerts.
- Select the alerts you want to resolve, and then click the Resolve N Alerts button.
The N in Resolve N Alerts is a placeholder for a number and will dynamically change based on the number of alerts selected for resolution. - Enter required Comments for the alerts resolution and confirm by clicking Save.
- The message Alerts Resolved Successfully appears in the bottom-right corner of the screen.
- Resolved alerts are marked with the status Admin Resolved.
- View resolved alerts by checking the Show Resolved Alerts checkbox in the top left corner.
Associated Alerts
To see all the triggered alerts for a specific Rule, click the Rule Name and scroll to the Associated Alert section at the bottom of the rule’s page.
Through the Rules tab, you can also see all the triggered alerts by a specific Rule with Live status by clicking the Rule Name, and scrolling to the Associated Alert section.
Data Governance Alert Report
Data Governance Admins automatically receive a daily report via email. The report contains CSV attachments—one for each Rule Type—detailing all active alerts. This report provides information on each alert, allowing them to track alerts.
The CSV reports names and reports are composed as follows:

Value Request Alert Report:
Report’s Name: data_governance_Value Request_alert_report_mm_dd_yyyy
Report’s Columns: report_name, Alert Rule Name, Approval Status, Values to Accept, Message, and Requesting User

Rules Based on Acceptable Values:
Report’s Name: data_governance_value-based_alert_report_dd_mm_yyyy
Report’s Columns: Rule Name, Resolution Status, Activity Count, Rule Type, Governance Source, Resource Type, Resource Type Id, Resource Id, Resource Name, Section Type, Field, Current Values, Item Id, Updated By, and Updated At.

Rules Based on Mandatory fields:
Report’s Name: data_governance_mandatory fields-based_alert_report_dd_mm_yyyy
Report’s Columns: Rule Name, Resolution Status, Activity Count, Rule Type, Governance Source, Resource Type, Resource Type Id, Resource Id, Resource Name, Section Type, Current Values, Item Id, Updated By, and Updated At.

Rules Based on User Access:
Report’s Name: data_governance_user access-based_alert_report_dd_mm_yyyy
Report’s Columns: Rule Name, Resolution Status, Activity Count, Rule Type, Governance Source, Resource Type, Resource Type Id, Resource Id, Resource Name, Type of Access, Action, Updated By, and Updated At.
